The Beast Is On Its Way: Samsung Galaxy S8 vs. LG G6
It is quite tough to say which smartphone would emerge the winner amongst the two. But it is for sure that both devices are going to bring about drastic changes in the world of smartphones. Both companies are ready to engage in a face to face brawl to decide the next Flagship Killer. Here are a few things to expect from the two new devices.
The Samsung Galaxy S8
All eyes are now set on Samsung’s next big gig- The Galaxy S8. Samsung has assured top notch quality and build for their S8. The device will be powered by Snapdragon 835. The most powerful chipset currently available.
With an almost bezel-less display, Samsung plans to maximize the screen and space. The fingerprint scanner shifts to the back this time over. It also features a type-C connector for fast charging.
The Samsung S8 is to sport a 16 megapixel(f 1.7) camera for better image quality.
The device is supposed to launch in two versions. The galaxy S8 with a 5.8” display and the S8 Plus with a 6.2” display. Furthermore, the aspect ratios are narrower and taller than before. The 3.5 mm headphone jack stays intact on both devices.
The Galaxy S8 is to feature 4Gb RAM on both variants. Both devices would run on Android 7.0 Nougat, out of the box. Both devices come with 64gb and 128gb storage options with additional expandable storage.
Samsung also plans to add the ‘Bixby’ personal assistant naming it ‘Samsung Hello’. A smart assistant built by Viv. Apple’s Siri was developed by Viv back in the day. The Samsung S8 and S8 Plus are to be juiced by a 3000 Mah and 3500 mah battery respectively. However, with such power hungry hardware, battery life looks more on the downside.
The LG G6 sports a 5.7” display with 18:9 aspect ratio. And, that is a 90% body to screen ratio. The fingerprint scanner is on the back of the device. The device has a type-C connector to support fast charging and it will carry the same 3.5 mm audio jack.
Featuring a glass and metal design, LG is adding the trendy water sealing to make the device more durable. With the IP68 rating, LG is also adding the Google assistant to the G6. The Dual 13-megapixel rear camera setup to drastically improve image quality and stability.
The LG G6 will have a 3200 mah battery. The LG G6 is powered by the Snapdragon 821 chipset, which is not the best in the house. Well, this could be an area to worry about because when Snapdragon 835 and 821 are compared, Snapdragon 821 hugely falls back on performance and efficiency.
