It may be interesting to note that in France there are over 500 different variety of cheese like Auvergne, Camembert etc. The main items included in French desert are diverse kind of ice-creams and cakes, fruits, and chocolates.

Some of the most famous French liquors which form an integral part of the French cuisine are Cointreau, Cognac, Armagnac, and pastis. French cuisine also includes some cuisines which may seem strange to other people like frog legs, snails, and horse meat. With an estimated 500000000 snails consumed each year France has a quite interesting cuisine.

Italian Cuisine 

Italian cuisine includes all the food which is native to Italy. It has developed just like the Indian cuisine due to different political and social interactions with other countries. The Italian cuisine has a great influence all over the world and is itself diversified due to its regional diversity. The Italian cuisine is known for its simplicity with ingredients as less as four to eight ingredients per dish.

The diversity of French and Italian cuisine

Just like the French cuisine, cheese and wine are also an important part of the Italian cuisine. The main ingredients of Italian cuisine include potatoes, tomatoes, bell peppers, maize, wine, cheese, rice, sausages, pork and fish such as cod or baccala. Italian pizza is quite famous in the world. Pasta, risotto, and polenta are also some of the major food items of Italy. In fact, in Italy, you will find a variety of pasta like spaghetti, rigatoni, fusilli, and lasagne.
